Who's on first?

So Quis and I were at dinner last night (Chipotle...it was lovely) and we got to talking about the Padres 2009 infield. More specifically...what's it gonna look like. Obviously we know Adrian Gonzalez will be at first and Kooz will be at 3rd...but then what?

I'm hearing today that Omar Vizquel (owner of 11 gold-gloves) could be the Friars shortstop as soon as tomorrow. That would be a nice pick up for the Padres who are suddenly in the market for some veteran leadership...not to mention Vizquel can still pick it. He's not going to hit much, but guess what, the Padres as a team aren't going to hit much next season.
Second base...I don't know. They signed Chris Burke today, he can play there a little. Same can be said for Edgar Gonzalez...but he is more of a utility guy in their minds. Plus they have Luis Rodriguez, but I don't think they see him as an everyday type of player either. Second base is definitely a question mark.

What's the word with Antonelli? Haven't heard him mentioned at all since the season ended.

Yeah,...215 hitters in Triple A usually get a lot more press.
What gives???

Well to be fair, he is a prospect, and a highly rated one at that. The question is: how was he evaluated based on his September call up in '08?
